True to its slogan, “Real Racing. Real Fast.” the project launched just weeks ahead of their next major event. Point Source pulled every resource into action. With support from Community loudspeakers and Crown amplifiers, the Point Source team installed nearly 150 loudspeakers supporting the grandstands and hundreds more in the suites, clubs and concourses. Beyond a simple repair, the entire system evolved from an aging copper infrastructure to a completely digital, fiber-optic network. The new network distributes local and production audio, video, communications and control seamlessly.

Included in the project was a full renovation of the Media Center, Press Box, VIP Club and broadcast facilities, all of which were damaged by the storm. Using the latest in integrated digital design, Point Source was able to network ALL audio systems throughout the facility, allowing any signal to be accessed from any location on the property. When not hosting major events, the systems allow the track operations staff to control the entire PA, allowing them to host a wide variety of racing events throughout the year.
The success of the initial project laid the foundation for an ongoing relationship with Atlanta Motor Speedway. From the RE-Inaugural race in 2005 to today, Point Source continues to support the facility’s systems and operations; in person on race-day and always on call.
